Churches of the World High resolution old and contemporary photographs of Churches and other places of Worship in the county of Caernarfonshire (Sir Gaernarfon) (now Gwynedd) in North Wales, part of the United Kingdom. Caernarfonshire, Llanrwst, St Grwst's Church and the adjoining Gwydir Chapel - photographed Sept 2008 Caernarfonshire - or Gwynedd as it is now known - is an area of outstanding natural beauty, and the same may be said about the places of worship in the county. Many are simple - but proud - whilst others - like St Grwst's Church at Llanrwst are outstanding because of their historical importance regarding the Welsh Princes of Wales. Within the Llanrwst page there is a link to Gwidyr Chapel, where lies the sarcophagus of Llywelyn ap Iorwerth (Llewelyn the Great) - Prince of Wales. Click on a place name in the right hand column to view high resolution photographs of Caernarfonshire's places of worship. Alternatively, and this will probably be simpler as the site grows, look for a church or chapel using the search box above.
Not just a photo of the outside of your place of worship, but also of the people that use it, and the inside, and even of the graveyard, and of the interesting tombstones. In addition, if you want to tell us about your special place, then we will display your story, so as every visitor may learn and appreciate what your place of worship is about.
