Anglesey, Llanrhwydrys, St Rhwydrys's Church - Location of the church relative to the farm Llanrhwydrys Church was founded in the 6th century during the Celtic era, Saint Rhwydrys is said to have travelled here from Ireland with St Rhuddlad, the founder of Llanrhuddlad Church. Rhwydrus is reputedly either the son of the King of Connaught (named Rhwydrim), or possibly his brother. In the Valor Ecclesiasticus of 1535 the church is called Llan Rodris.
