Churches of the World High resolution old and contemporary photographs of Churches and other places of Worship in Llanllibio in the county of Anglesey (Sir Fôn) in North Wales, part of the United Kingdom. Anglesey, Llanllibio, St Llibio's Churchyard and the Church House In the middle of a small field on Anglesey, there is a stone memorial to this area where once (the welsh inscription reads) the church of St Llibio once stood, including its' cemetery. Research shows that there was a church founded here during the 6th century, which was here continuously until the early 18th century. This memorial stone was erected by the Reverend Hugh Wynne Jones - rector of the nearby Llantrisant church, of which Llanllibio church was a chapel of ease, in other words, this church was a subsidiary of Llantrisant. The shape of the Llan (churchyard) may still be seen in this field, and I am in little doubt that there are burials here, although there are no visible graves. A standing stone in the same field may well once have been a corner stone of the church itself, but that remains supposition on my behalf. The stone contains the following original Welsh memorial; that, and the translated version, are both kindly supplied by Arthur James Huws and Jean:- "Saf ymdeithydd a sylwa. "Stand ye traveller and take notice
