Churches of the World High resolution old and contemporary photographs of Churches and other places of Worship in Llangadwaladr in the county of Anglesey (Sir Fôn) in North Wales, part of the United Kingdom. Anglesey, Llangadwaladr Rectory in about 1904 (experienced guess) Llangadwaladr is situated very close to the main seat of the Princes of Wales at Aberffraw, and would have had a very close relationship with that court. Inside the church is an ancient inscribed stone named the 'Cadfan Stone', and the inscription reads 'Catamanus Rex sapientissimus opinatissimus omnium regum', which translates as 'Cadfan, the wisest and most renowned of all Kings'. Cadfan ap Iago was Cadwaladr's grandfather and lived from 580ad to 625ad. He became King of Gwynedd in the year 615.
