Churches of the World High resolution old and contemporary photographs of Churches and other places of worship in Gwredog (near Llanerchymedd) in the county of Anglesey (Sir Fôn) in North Wales, part of the United Kingdom. Anglesey, the abandoned church of Gwredog - August 2008 The long abandoned Gwredog Church near the town of Llanerchymedd served mainly the families of the two farms - Gwredog Isaf (Lower) and Gwredog Uchaf (Higher). The only memorials and gravestones now remaining are to the Lewis families of these farms. The local farmer thought that under the nearby man-made reservoir (Llyn Alaw) that a monastery had been submerged when the lake was made. My maps (pre lake) do not seem to bear this out, but there is normally an element of truth in most local stories.
Not just a photo of the outside of your place of worship, but also of the people that use it, and the inside, and even of the graveyard, and of the interesting tombstones. In addition, if you want to tell us about your special place, then we will display your story, so as every visitor may learn and appreciate what your place of worship is about.
