Anglesey, Caergeiliog, St David's Church -opened 26th February 1912 - photo July 2008

St David's church in Caergeiliog was built on land donated by the owners of Tre Gof estate, under the supervision of the Reverend Annwyl Roberts. As the centenary of the church approaches the church is still in regular use. I was fortunate to have been shown around the church, and noted that for such a small church there is a lovely warm atmosphere about ite.

There is only one burial in the grounds of St David's church and that is of the afore-mentioned Reverend Annwyl Roberts, who passed away in 1921.

Prior to the opening of the A55 expressway, St David's church was situated on the A5 main road from Holyhead to Bangor.
