High resolution old and contemporary photographs of Churches and other places of Worship in Amlwch in the county of Anglesey (Sir Fôn) in North Wales, part of the United Kingdom.

Amlwch Catholic Church, Our Lady Star of the Sea and St Winefride's

Amlwch, built up around copper, which was famously mined here in the 19th century at the Parys Mountain mines. It was money from the copper mines that helped to build St Eleth's church in 1800.

Am I the only one that feels this way? - a grave marker - by name alone - is how one finds one's loved ones graves. Why then for the sake of mowing the grass can this happen? see photo below..
